Sister Helen joined the Order of the Holy Paraclete in 1993 and made her life profession in 1999. She has undertaken several different roles in the community including in the NHS mental health chaplaincy. Currently, she is sister in charge of St Oswalds Pastoral Centre, the OHP retreat house in Sleights near Whitby, part of the community novitiate formation team and community archivist.
Gill Pennington is a Quaker, a Spiritual Director and Spirituality Tutor at Woodbrooke Quaker Study Centre. She sees her ministry as walking alongside people as they explore the ?promptings of God’s spirit in their lives; enabling them to focus, reflect and discern. She offers opportunities for people to pay attention to their inner wisdom, to become more aware of their true self and to seek God’s will, particularly during times of change.
Dom Richard ffield OSB is a monk of Ampleforth Abbey. He trained as an engineer, and joined the Ampleforth Community in 1966. He taught physics and Christian Theology in the school, ran the scouts and was a housemaster for 21 years. He completed the nine month Religious Formation Ministry Programme in 2003 before joining the Ampleforth Monastery of Christ the Word in Zimbabwe for twelve years. Since returning in 2016, he has been involved in leading retreats on Christian Meditation.
